Commander's Corner
June became
a busy month for NHS members. Cadets were off to Encampment at Camp Ripley. We
also had our Annual Crystal Open House, Pilot Continuation Clinic, Tracon Tour,
and Unit Based ES exercise. Cadets along with Cpt. Rob Carlson were off to Red
Wing to participate in glider flying. It was enough to tax us all. Our Open
House was a success with good weather that resulted in good sales of snow cones
and bottled water. The F4 cockpit pictures were again a hit, which resulted in
additional income. We also had a super turn out of cadets for the encampment.
Some members were able to complete their ES training for scanner and observer
during the unit based exercise. There is nothing better also than to set at the
top of the MSP Control tower on a nice long summer evening and view airliners
landing and taking off. All of you who were able to participate in these events,
deserve a applause for your efforts in participation and for your work in making
these events happen. It is the thing that makes NHS successful.
